Steve Stern is a Suffolk County Legislator representing the 16th Legislative District. The PRMG helped Stern successfully win election in 2005, producing advertisements, campaign fliers, events and press releases.
Since his election, Stern has been named the Chairman of the Veterans and Seniors Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Health and Human Services Committee and also serves on the Ways and Means Committee and the Agriculture, Environment & Planning Committee.
Steve is also a partner with the law firm of Davidow, Davidow, Siegel & Stern, LLP and concentrates in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning, Guardianships, Business Succession Planning and Long Term Care Planning. Mr. Stern’s credentials are perfectly suited for the firm, originally founded in 1913, which continues its tradition of quality legal services devoted to the elderly, the taxpayer, the business owner and the disabled on Long Island.
Steve graduated from Tulane University School of Arts and Sciences in New Orleans, Louisiana and received his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, graduating Cum Laude. He is also a Certified Elder Law Attorney, awarded through the National Elder Law Foundation, and is admitted to the New York and Florida Bar Associations.
He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is past editor of its national publication. He is also active in the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section, representing Long Island’s judicial district. Steve is a past chairman of the Elder Law Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association and also the past-chair of the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
In addition, Steve has served as an adjunct professor at Touro School of Law. He is a past trustee of the Multiple Sclerosis Society-Long Island Chapter and a past Vice President of the Suffolk Y JCC. Steve is also a coach in the Half Hollow Hills Little League.
