Good morning Team Captains,

Thank you again for agreeing to be a Team Captain for this year's Walk To End Alzheimer's. I look forward to seeing each and every one of you at the Walk on Saturday, September 10th, 2011. As of this morning we have 231 Teams with approximately 1,200 Participants registered online. We are expecting the largest Walk event on record for our Chapter and for that we thank you!

While these numbers are most exciting, this also means that we will need everyone's cooperation to ensure a quick and smooth registration process.

We ask that Team Captains ONLY come to the Pre-registration tables that will be set up in the Village Parking lots. Tables will be clearly marked with signage. Please notify your team members that they ARE NOT to go to the Pre-registration tables or the registration booths directly behind these tables. We will have Team Holding Areas in the Village Parking Lot so please ask your team members to meet you in these designated areas. It is here where you can give your team members their ID bracelets and totes/t-shirts (if applicable).

If you are a Team Captain and are not planning to be at the WALK, please call my office at (631) 820-8068 and provide me with the name of the individual who will be representing you. Please do this no later than the close of business on Thursday, September 8th, 2011.

At the Pre-registration tables, AALI representatives will hand you an envelope which will contain ID bracelets for your team, and a registration document which will show the number of totes/t-shirts available to your team.

If you are bringing additional donations, you will be directed to the Registration Booths located directly behind the Pre-registration tables so that you can turn in your additional donations and, if needed, have your registration document adjusted to reflect these additional donations.

In an effort to begin the Pre-registration process here at the Chapter, all funds received after noon today will not be included in your Registration document. However, AALI representatives at the Registration booths will have updated reports through noon on Friday and will be able to update registration documents to reflect any updated numbers.

Finally, I would like to invite all Team Captains to be in the Band Shell area at the Fairgrounds no later than 9:45 a.m. We will begin Opening Ceremonies promptly at 10:00 a.m. and immediately following our 9/11 Tribute, we will distribute this year's Team Captain Medals and hold our first Promise Garden Ceremony.
