Mary Ann Malack-Ragona Joins Congressman Israel in Supporting Elder Care Tax Credit Act Mary Ann Malack-Ragona, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director at Alzheimer's Association Long Island, says she is supporting the Elder Care Tax Credit Act, which was introduced by U.S. Congressman Steve Israel and aimed at assisting families caring for an aging relative. It is a cold, hard fact that some of us will need assistance in the future with our "activities of daily living" — that is, activities that most of us take for granted every day: getting out of bed in the morning, going to the bathroom, getting dressed, preparing and eating breakfast. And then, there is the rest of the day to get through! In the event of a catastrophic illness, such as Alzheimer's disease, it will be important to know your options as to where you can receive care and how to pay for it. |
