"It Starts With Sylvan" Raises $1,000 for 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer's

On April 3, over 400 students from Sylvan Avenue Elementary School in Bayport attended an assembly in which members of "It Starts With Sylvan" presented a check in the amount of $1,000 to Alzheimer's Association Long Island. The money was raised during the month of March and went toward the 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer's, which will take place September 8 at Old Bethpage Village Restoration.

Amy Oster has joined Alzheimer's Association Long Island as its Care Consultant, and Robin Lombardo will be the organization's new Vice President of Programs and Services.

New York Islanders Raise $1,100 for Alzheimer's Association Long Island

At the New York Islanders' Group Leaders Appreciation Night on April 5, New York Islanders Group Sales Executive David Sibelman presented Alzheimer's Association Long Island Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer Mary Ann Malack-Ragona with a check in the amount of $1,100.

Alzheimer's Association Long Island has announced that the Hampton Care Center, located at 64 County Road 39 in Southampton, New York, is now offering caregiver support groups the last Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m.
